Moss, formerly known as Moss Bros. has unveiled its latest flagship store spanning 2,372 square feet at St James Quarter in Edinburgh. Renowned for its commitment to timeless style and sophistication, Moss sought to create an ambiance of effortless elegance within its new space. To achieve this, 162 square meters of our Portland Slate Grip porcelain floor tiles in the 900x900mm format were meticulously installed, setting the stage for a seamless and stylish interior.
The choice of Portland Slate tiles reflects Moss's discerning taste and dedication to quality. The large format and subtle grey hue of these tiles were specifically selected to minimise grout lines, creating a sense of continuity and spaciousness within the expansive open floor plan of the store. This design decision not only enhances the visual appeal of the space but also contributes to a sense of cohesion and sophistication that aligns seamlessly with Moss's brand identity.
By partnering with us for their flooring needs, Moss has ensured that their flagship store exudes an aura of understated luxury and timeless elegance. The tiles provide a durable and stylish foundation that perfectly complements Moss's meticulously curated collection of menswear, offering customers an unparalleled shopping experience in the heart of Edinburgh's premier retail destination.
In addition to their striking visual appeal, the Portland Slate Grip porcelain floor tiles boast exceptional technical qualities that prioritise both durability and safety. The Grip finish of these tiles is engineered to provide superior slip resistance, achieving a PTV (Pendulum Test Value) rating of 36+ in shod and wet barefoot conditions.
This high slip resistance rating ensures that the tiles offer an extra layer of safety to the installation, particularly important in commercial settings such as retail environments where foot traffic is constant. By prioritising safety alongside aesthetics, Moss has demonstrated a commitment to creating a welcoming and secure environment for its customers and staff alike.
We are proud to have played a part in this remarkable project and to have continued our ongoing partnership with Moss.
