Designer Simone Post has teamed up with Dutch textile brand Vlisco to make some beautiful new surface products out of the off-cuts of fabric. Vlisco are known for their distinct visual style that is popular in central and West Africa. They're also known for their incredibly high standard of production in the making of their wax prints and the traditional and highly complex processes used leads to a relatively abundant amount of waste.
Rather than simply throwing this beautiful material away, Post breathes new life into the scraps, creating interior products including wall hangings and rugs that are made using laser cutting, folding and winding techniques. The results are bright, bold and unique every single time!
