October is always a month we look forward to because it means the Dutch are about to show off their new designs, trends and innovations. Dutch Design Week is a true celebration of design in nearly all its facets, offering some of the finest examples around.
With its multiple post-industrial venues on the outskirts of town, all filled to the brim with new technological, material and socially-engaged endeavors – and a graduate show like no other at Design Academy Eindhoven nestled in the centre – it’s a great place to stomp (or cycle) around and soak up some real inspiration.
We’ll be sharing much more over the coming weeks, because there simply is too much to cover in one post, but here’s a taster of what we saw and what’s to come…
Intestine lights
