Widely considered to be one of the most prolific artists of our time, David Hockney has also played an integral role in shaping the aesthetics of design, as we know them.
In an upcoming exhibition at London’s Tate Britain, a collation of work produced over six decades will be showcased as never exhibited before. Thanks to loans from private collections, Hockney’s work, across the mediums of painting, drawing, photography and video will present a unique opportunity for visitors to experience the full force of the artist’s unique talent.
The retrospective takes place just before Hockney’s 80 th birthday. His ability to adapt and utilise new and innovative technologies has ensured he is constantly engaging his audiences.
From Los Angeles swimming pools, to the woodlands of Yorkshire, the exhibition promises to deliver a “once-in-a-lifetime-chance” to see the sheer breadth of the artist’s work, in an unforgettable setting.
The exhibition takes place from 9 February – 29 May 2017. For more information, visit the Tate website .
